Message from the Executive Director
Children are our most precious asset, each capable of incredible growth.
We understand that the family unit is the nurturing body that guides the
growth or our children. At High Country Early Intervention we
(HCEI) understand the challenges a family can face when their child may
need some assistance in learning new skills. Since 1996, the dedicated
staff of HCEI have devoted their time and expertise to helping families
who have children, aged birth to three years, who experience developmental
delays or disabilities.
We work closely with each family based on the
family's concerns, priorities and needs. We incorporate our services into
the family's daily routines and assist them in addressing the
developmental needs of their child within the child's natural environment.
In doing so, we work together in partnership with each family and other
primary caregivers to provide quality early intervention services. The
purpose of early intervention is to help the family help their child
develop to the child's fullest potential. Our compassionate, trained staff
work from a family-focused perspective providing services built on mutual
respect and parent choice. We recognize the parent as the expert related
to their child. Our staff holds to the belief that each family is unique
and deserves to have that uniqueness reflected and respected in the
services that are offered to them. HCEI encourages parent feedback and
involvement related to all aspects of our program delivery.
As director of HCEI, I am always available to talk with a family member
regarding their child's development and the support and services they are
receiving. Each family and child's experience at HCEI should be as
rewarding to them as it is to the dedicated and skilled staff of HCEI.
Sincerely,
Barbara J. Hill, MHA, OTR/L
Director
